The Line

Evil and cruelty, how can I escape?
I fear the reveal, reality’s shape.

Tell me oh where, where can it be?
A border, a line, a line I can see.

Between good and bad, a place I can mark.
Perhaps from there I’ll emerge from the dark.

One upon which all can confide.
One that for all, truly divides.

The evil, the good, a part and behest.
I fear it is buried deep in this chest.

It cannot be vanquished cannot be slain.
Or we’d kill ourselves, not just our pain.

Seems that this line from finish to start,
Runs down the mid of each human heart.
