Shining brighter made it worse?
Willing ear, you did not find.
Failed attempt, to sway a mind.
Mind set to another way.
Wouldn’t matter what you say,
To nudge it here, sway it there.
It has more than you’re unaware.
With its own needs, its own wants.
With its own past that still haunts.
But yours and it both are true.
It’s no time to cast a rue.
Not your place to commandeer.
Find yourself a willing ear.
This attempt was just not right.
